As you probably know, Black, Grey and White are always safe colours to use for interior design but are often avoided for other colours such as yellow, blues and greens. But having dark colours in your house can look very nice if done correctly. Having different tones of Dark to Light shades can actually make you relaxed and isn't that what we really want in our homes? So here are some examples of what we like to call Dark Interior Design. The colour brown can also be added to your shades pallet as it will go well with any shade you pick.
Now just having all dark colours is nice but can get a bit wary at times so it is always a good idea to add a splash of colour! Not to much though. Shown in the picture above the whole room has nice shades and there is a dazzling comfy orange sofa right in the middle of it all. Superb!
Though if you don't wish to have a bright orange sofa then you can always do something different. You can use the technique of adding a splash of colour to all areas of a room like a line on the wall or a photo frame in one colour, or a vase. The possibilities are endless but do make sure that if you are going to have a shaded room to not add more than one extra colour as it can make the room look way too messy.
